UH-OH. NEW-DOG-IN-THE-PACK ALERT!
A week ago, Beagle Man showed me a family text from Robby: “Everyone, meet Pickle!”
The message was under the photo you can see, to the right. The little whippersnapper (drop-dead adorable, I know, I know) is supposed to arrive at Robby and Brianne’s in two weeks, on February 14. That’s right, Valentine’s Day. Everything about this whole situation is just way too cute.
And what does all this have to do with me? Yet another dog in our pack I have to share attention with! I remember the day back in 2014 when Steve the Breeder drove down from Nova Scotia to Portland, Maine, to hand me off to Beagle Man (photo, below left). When we arrived in Connecticut, oh, what a fuss! I was the only dog in the family back then, and everyone was just eating me up. After that? All downhill. About a year later, Ruckus shows up to join Greg and Kelly’s family, and boom! . . . my share of the limelight gets sliced in half. Soon after that, little human
baby boys start popping out all over the place. We’ve already got four
of them running around now — and another one due this
spring! So you see, everyone already takes us for granted. And can you imagine when little Pickle arrives on the scene? It’ll be Kemba and Rucky who? Brianne, who’s always been one of my biggest fans, tells me I’ll still be important, because I’ve got to show Pickle the ropes. Ha. Let him know his place is more like it!
We’re all waiting for you, little fella . . .
Beagle Man always has a lot to say, so I’ll just pipe up in The Duck Dog Speaks whenever I can.

They’re all adorable and with the current leadership The Peaceable Kingdom is destined to reign smoothly and brilliantly…
,
Kemba, you’ll still be the most handsome furry boy in the family! Don’t worry.
Thanks, Uncle Lang!
Oh my goodness! Scout’s long lost cousin. She can’t wait to meet him this spring!!!
Yup! We’ll arrange a reunion!!
Perhaps you need to be elevated to “Uncle Kemba”, then maybe the order of things will feel a bit more copacetic.
