Oh, No! Not Again!
* * *COUNTDOWN: 17 DAYS TO LA/XC-5 * * *
What? We’re picking up and driving from here to Los Angeles — again? I thought that trip back in April of 2015 was a one-off! What a nightmare! Does Beagle Man even remember? How I was so nuts over being stuck in the car all day and the motel all night that I’d start biting him in our room? And what I did to his precious AAA map of the United States? Yeah, true, I was only 7 months old at the
time, and now I’m 2 years old. But still. I’m kinda big for the shotgun seat. And I hope Beagle Man’s not counting on the back bench for all that crap he thinks he needs to pack; that space is M-I-N-E. He also better not be expecting me to sleep in a crate anywhere, cause let me tell you — that ain’t happening. Then again, Beagle Man does manage to find some pretty cool beaches — like Huntington and Morro Bay in California, and Lake Michigan, and Lake Erie . . . And we do go to a different dog park every single morning, where I get to jump on all sorts of new people and sniff all kinds of new dogs. And I do love the view from the deck at the Loew’s Santa Monica. They treat me really special there. Hmm. Maybe this won’t be that bad . . .
Beagle Man and Ricky always have a lot to say, so I’ll just pipe up in The Duck Dog Speaks whenever I can.

Kemba, This is Amazing Grace from Chicago. Remember me from when you were a puppy visiting last year? I wanted to show off ,and started my “rabbit tricks” (literally) while you were here. I have since continued hunting down more rabbits and…well…never mind…I think Beagle Man wrote about it in a column titled something like “Centennial Beach Massacre”. I’m recalling you were chasing a purple ball (might this be what Beagle Man was writing about a couple of weeks ago?…so brilliant that you figured out how to keep it from Ruckus!). Anyway, really look forward to seeing you again soon when you are passing through Illinois.. Your friend, Amazing Grace McCorvie
