MY PALS: Maxie
Hey, it’s me. Kemba. Again. Yup, that’s three posts in a row from me: A MY PALS (Ruckus); a Duck Dog Speaks (Salty Dog), and now another MY PALS. Anyone get the feeling that Beagle Man isn’t doing
a whole lot of blogging while we’re out here at the beach? He keeps saying that he’s working on his “book.” Hey, I’m good with that. I’ve been begging for by-lines on this blog forever, and now I’m finally getting my chance. Anyway . . . there’s a new dog on the beach this summer — Maxie. A girl. Irish Jack Russell. About my age. Tiny thing, but feisty. Her owner, Jeffrey, throws her a blue ball. Beagle Man throws me my purple ball. But we don’t care which is which — we both chase both of them. Here’s the thing: Maxie’s
got these stubby little legs — mine are about five times as long — so I can beat her to the ball every time, even if I give her a big head start. She never stops trying, though, and I give her lots of credit for it. That little dog has heart. Oh, one other thing I want to tell you about (it’s a little braggy): See that log in my mouth (photo left)? I swam through the waves to fetch it, and then dragged it along the beach to Beagle Man. Maybe 75 times. Try that, little Maxie!
RICKY THE BEAGLE USED TO HAVE HIS MY PALS COLUMN. I’VE ALWAYS WANTED ONE OF MY OWN. NOW I HAVE IT.

Sounds like true love for Kemba, despite what he says about his short-legged companin!.
Kemba that is QUITE a log to be showing off all day. Have to admit that I’m pretty impressed. Glad you have another new friend Maxie! Hi to your parents. Love, Amazing Grace
PS. My mom thought I had swallowed tennis balls again last week and took me to the emergency center again, but I’m ok and she seems pretty relieved.
Stick to bunnies, Gracie!
