I’m Ba-a-a-ck!

adsYep, here I am, back home at the beach after my two weeks at “sleep-away camp.”  (Don’t worry, I never fell for that sleep-away camp story.  I’m not stupid. I just played along because I could tell how guilty Beagle Man felt about sending me.)  Actually, my “counselor” Marlon turned out to be a pretty cool guy, though at first we had a bit of a

communication problem.  He used this funky language I’d never heard before:  “Sit!”  “Down!”  “Stay!”  “Heel!”  “Place!”  “Off!”  “Break!” All Beagle Man ever said to me was, “That’s okay, shweetie,” and, “Who loves you??!!” and, “You’re a good, good dog!!”  But I caught on pretty quickly.  I also had to wear an extra collar, but that was no big deal, either.  I have lots of

hair for protection — unlike someone else I know, haha — so it didn’t really bother me.  Now that I’m home, Beagle Man and Mom are knocking themselves out trying to do what Marlon was

doing.  If you want to see something hysterical, you should watch the two of them struggling to come up with the right command and press the right button on my E-collar buzzer — while it’s still daylight!  It’s a riot!  So I just figure out what they’re trying to get me to do, and do it.  Saves a lot of trouble.  Bottom line?  I’d say camp wasn’t bad, and I kind of miss Marlon and that park we’d go to for my daily “lessons.”  But I do like it better here — fetching balls and sticks in the waves, having breakfast at Jack’s . . . and just hanging out with Beagle Man.

You’ll notice I get a lot more by-lines out here at the beach than I do back home.  Beagle Man says he’s working on his book.  Looks to me more like he’s working on his tan.
