Enough About the Wedding!
I met three dogs named Stella at the dog park this morning. Three! Beagle Man says if I’d been a girl, I would have been named Stella, after his mom. Robby says I couldn’t have been a girl because there’s no way he would have let a girl dog in the house. Hey, has anyone noticed Beagle Man hasn’t posted in like, two weeks? And he hasn’t let me post in over a month? That’s because everyone’s been so caught up in Greg and Kelly’s wedding. I get that, I guess. They’re a pretty cool couple. Here’s what I remember about the wedding weekend: 1. At first they talked about making me the ring bearer. Then, for some reason, they decided against it. 2. My baby-sitter, Kerri, was
super-nice. Her boyfriend goes duck-hunting, and he was obsessed with me. He’d never met a real live Duck Toller before. 3. I did pretty well with my behavior most of the weekend. I’ve stopped biting Kelly’s ponytail. I barked at little Cousin Teddy a little, but did all right with the other young kids. 4. There were tons of guests to throw to me at the beach, not just Beagle Man. (Kelly’s family is huge!) 5. One time, instead of bringing the tennis ball back to Beagle Man, I dropped it in front of this lady down the beach. She was wearing one of those naked-hiney bikinis and was really pretty. Later Beagle Man told me it was a good move, and gave me a treat. 6. Best part of the weekend, by far: Bruce came over for Sunday brunch! He’s the BEST! And Cousin Patty didn’t even make us dress up in costumes this time.
Beagle Man and Ricky always have a lot to say, so I’ll just pipe up in The Duck Dog Speaks whenever I can.

WOW! You were the FATHER of the GROOM. I’m sure it was a great wedding, and welding of the families together. Kemba seems to have survived in good shape. His photos are sweet. I just noticed that my e-mail address is wrong on this site. It’s skiper72@comcast.net, you left out the 72. I added those numbers because they are my wishful thinking that I am ten years younger, sigh. Have a bang-up fourth of July. Z
