Thanks, Dawgs!
I am having the best time EV-ER! We’re out at the beach in Montauk, and Patty and Teddy brought my cousin Bruce. This is
the first time I’ve met him, but he is the GREATEST! I love this guy! At the very beginning we weren’t so sure: I sniffed, he sniffed, I barked, he barked. But then we played a little tug-o’-war, and the rest is history. To tell you the
truth, I had my worries about this trip: My three brothers are at at Greg’s bachelor party up in Montreal, and I’m thinking, how is Beagle Man going to chuck balls into the ocean for me all weekend long by himself? But for one thing, he’s got this new fling-amajig contraption, and even more important, Teddy and Patty have been helping out with the flinging. And Bruce is way more into digging holes in the sand than fetching — so all the balls are for yours truly! I really hope Bruce comes out every weekend. He’s real easy-going, and is up for pretty much anything I want to do. And the night before coming out here? My dog party! Beagle Man thought it was a good idea for all of us to play together in Ricky’s Run, and I guess it would have been — except that he was grilling hot dogs and hamburgers about 20 yards away! We made at least three jail breaks. Most of my friends waited until some grown-up opened the gate, and then slithered out. But me? I just leaped the fence. Grabbed one whole hot dog and four hamburger rolls. Special thanks to Cookie and Duncan and Frankie and Jake and Luke for coming to my party. Bruce, you come next time!
Beagle Man and Ricky always have a lot to say, so I’ll just pipe up in The Duck Dog Speaks whenever I can.
