UN-der-RAT-ed! UN-der-RAT-ed!

rrrFor a long time now, I’ve been thinking that a lot of people don’t take Beagles as seriously as they should.  Watching Westminster last week only confirmed my opinion.  Okay, so maybe a German Shepherd won this year — congrats, Rumor — but nobody can deny my Beagle brethren have dominated recent Westminster history.  Miss P wins Best in Show in 2015.  Her great-uncle, Uno, takes the blue ribbon in 2008.  Has any other breed won twice in the last 10 years?  Uh . . . that would be no.  And even when we don’t win the whole shebang, we still get the fans howling way better than

any other breed.  If you’ve somehow managed to not see it yet, take a look at this video of Mia — who’s pretty hot, btw — absolutely crushing it in this year’s agility competition.  In the middle of her stellar routine, she gets distracted, stops, sniffs the ground, and stares off into space.  At that point you can hear the idiot announcer pleading, “Don’t be a beagle!  Don’t be a beagle!”  Hey, I’ve been telling you this for years:  Beagles are pretty damn cute, but we do what we want, when we want.  That’s the package.  Take it or leave it.

The Roof Rack Report used to appear regularly on Mondays. Now it appears once in a blue moon, when Beagle Man deigns to give me some space . . .
