Amagansett was a relatively low-key affair.  Kept under wraps until the afternoon of the party, and even then only signaled by a small copy-paper sign taped to the Beagle Man’s surfboard*, there were just seven humans and two dogs in attendance.  On Saturday, aided by an e-blast, a few in-person invites to the Jack’s Coffee crowd, and beach word-of-mouth, those figures ballooned to 22 and 5, respectively — a 200 percent boost in attendance!  While still not in the Coachella (198,000) stratosphere, or even Bonnaroo (46,000) territory, as Kemba’s popularity grows, so will demand for this event.  Think it was tough scoring a seat for Coldplay’s drop-in performance at Stephen Talkhouse last week?  Look for an invite to Kemba’s third beach birthday party next summer to be one of the toughest tickets in the Hamptons.  (See party pix below . . .)
