I’d by lying if I said I wasn’t ridiculously excited about going up to Nova Scotia this weekend.
Matt and I are flying into Halifax Friday night. Saturday morning we’ll do a little get-acquainted-with-the-city tour, then grab some lunch. And then . . . The Main Event: We’ll take a 45-minute drive west of Halifax, to the town of Ardoise, home of Saltydog Kennels — where we’ll get to meet the future Puppy Herman for the first time!!!
The litter arrived on August 12 — same date we brought Ricky home 11 years earlier; how’s that for a good omen?! — and watching on the puppy cam has been a tremendously entertaining diversion. (I try to limit myself to no more than 4 hours a day.) But this Saturday we get to actually hold the four-week-old pups. And pet them. And cuddle. I’m assuming Puppy Herman will make himself known to me during the meet-and-greet. 🙂
Won’t be able to bring him home with me yet. But we’re getting closer . . .

So happy for you! They are sooo adorable, just been watching them eat, such fun! Do you know what color collar your doggie is – I remember Basil was the green collar boy, but we were only lucky enough to get pictures, but I love the webcam! Cant wait to hear how it goes
