[NOTE:  I promised, in a post last week (Ricky and Sputnik?) that I’d start working on Ricky’s resume with him.  Here’s what we’ve got so far.  See what you think . . .]

Ears:                       Velvety (really, really velvety)

EDUCATION

Rick the Dog Trainer:  Fall ’03; flunked out

Bob the Dog Trainer:   Winter ’03; flunked out*

(*Instructor’s comment:  “Beagles are about 100 times more stubborn than most breeds.  Ricky is about 100 times more stubborn than most beagles.”)

POSITION DESIRED

Beagle Brigade:  Avid interest in sniffing out contraband at American international airports with fellow           patriotic beagles

Travel writer/editor:  Would like to parlay my post as “My Pals” writer/editor into a position that allows me          to use my cross-country road trip experience

WORK EXPERIENCE

Guard beagle:  Notify family when guests (both invited and uninvited) arrive; also announce presence of                deer and wild turkey on property

Food inspector:  Check out all shopping bags Luz brings into house from Stop & Shop, Stew’s, etc.

(*Once located a single, stale French fry wrapped in a box-within-a-box-within-a-box-within-a-box-within-a-box that was mixed in with 100 or so other gift boxes under Christmas tree)

Languages:  Tri-lingual — understands both English and Spanish; speaks dog fluently

Writing:  Sole writer of “My Pals”; contributing writer on Beagle Man’s travel memoir (in progress) based            on cross-country road trips
